Greece Visa Information

What basic documents are required?

For Kuwaiti:

1. Appointment letter

2. Passport - must valid for at least 6 months from the date of visa issuance

3. Visa application form

4. Travel insurance

5. Hotel reservation for all destinations in Schengen

6. Round trip flight ticket

7. Copy of passport bio page

8. Copy of any previous Schengen visa

9. Copy of civil id - must be valid for 6 months from date of return

10. One recent passport size photograph (W: 4 cm H: 5 cm) with white background

11. For children less than 18 years, parent consent form signed by both parents. Visa application form must also be signed by both parents.

12. Only for non-kuwaiti applicants - Copy of authorized signatory issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs & Labor with the authentication of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry

13. Only for non-kuwaiti applicants - Original or online bank statement for last 6 months with sufficient funds to cover all the expenses connected to the travel and stay in Italy. The bank statement must also feature the transactions connected to the monthly salary

14. Only for non-kuwaiti applicants - Copy of work permit issued by Kuwait Ministry of Labour and copy of authorized signatory document

Additional documents:

For Business visa applications:

1. Invitation letter from a company/organization in Greece with full details about the event/meeting/conference

For visiting family or friends:

1. Invitation letter from the host with details of applicant, host's address and contact details

2. Host's copy of passport or copy of residence permit

For Medical visa applications:

1. Letter from a doctor or recognized hospital in Greece mentioning all relevant details about patient, medical treatment etc.

2. Confirmed medical appointment in Greece

3. Proof of payment for medical treatment

For Nannie/Housemaid visa applications:

1. Letter of guarantee from sponsor mentioning salary, work tenure. Must be working with same sponsor for at least last 3 years

What fees need to be paid?

Visa fee to be paid at Visa Application Center:

1. Above 12 years: 32.000 KD each applicant

2. Child between 6 to 12 years: 14,000 KD each applicant

3. Child less than 6 years: 0 KD

4. EU spouse & immediate family members: 0 KD

VFS service fee to be paid online:

• 7.000 KD each applicant

SOUQ VISA service charges:

1. Appointment booking: 5 KD each appointment (Group discount available)

2. Form filling: 3 KD each applicant

3. Passport collection from VFS: 2 KD per passport (Group discount available)

4. Passport delivery to home/office: 3 KD per passport (Group discount available)

5. Hotel booking: 5 KD

6. Flight booking: 5 KD

Other important information

Processing Time:

1. Mostly applications for Kuwaiti citizens are processed within 2 to 5 days

2. For non-kuwaiti applicants, processing time can be up to 15 days.
